Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most

Spiritfinder's Depression Toolkit

VERTIGO (1958)

Jennifer from the new blog Spiritfinder writes:

Did you know that spring and summer actually see higher rates of suicide than winter?  So with spring upon us, I felt it was my duty to create a toolkit to share resources, tips, and advice on suicide prevention.

Would you share this toolkit with your readers? I want everyone to have easy access to these resources — it could be the difference between life and death.

It’s counterintuitive that spring brings greater depression, especially after a long winter, but the statistics cited in a Slate article seem to bear this out.

It reminded me of the Fran Landesman and Tommy Wolf jazz standard “Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most.” Here’s Ella Fitzgerald singing it live.
