The Cohen Media Group has restored Alfred Hitchcock’s last British film, Jamaica Inn (1939). Jamaica Inn stars Robert Newton as a heroic police officer, Charles Laughton as a corrupt and dastardly squire and Maureen O’Hara as a naïve but spunky Irishwoman in her first major role. Based on a novel by Daphne Du Maurier [Rebecca (1940),The Birds (1963)], the movie takes place on the rocky coast of Cornwall. It screens March 24 as part of Cohen Film Classics on Southern California’s KCET at 10:22 pm and at 6 pm on LinkTV
